Teaching Initiative for Digital Education through AI (Teaching IDE-AI)
This project creates a model for responsible and ethical AI integration in the classroom and in communities to help prepare educators who will then shape AI‑ready students and citizens across Virginia and the nation. By bringing together experts in education and technology, the initiative will create practical tools, develop training for faculty, and design easy‑to‑use AI literacy resources that help educators guide students in a rapidly changing world.

equity‐centered research, and collaborative leadership, making her a powerful thought partner and
strategic planning for federal and foundation grants.
Evan Shieh, Executive Director, Young Data Scientists League, is a data scientist who will advise our
project in integrating machine learning, AI ethics and justice in K–12 data science education.
Michael Bolling, Chief Instruction Officer of Stafford County Schools will advise our project as a leader
invested in teacher professional development and enhancing student learning with integration of AI.
